Recreation Centers
Looking for a safe and fun place for all ages to meet new friends, socialize, learn new skills, keep fit and stay healthy? Come on down to your neighborhood Recreation Center!
The Minneapolis Park Board operates 49 year-round, neighborhood-based Rec Centers. Each center employs full- and part-time staff committed to providing quality recreation opportunities and programs.
Recreation Centers are the focal point of our extensive activities, programs and special events. Many are full-service facilities with meeting rooms, kitchens and gymnasiums for individual and group use.
Each Recreation Center is part of a Community Service Area (CSA). Directed by the 2007-2020 Comprehensive Plan, each CSA tailors the activities it provides to meet a community’s park and recreation needs.
